All students got a taste of Astronomy this term, as they witnessed from the comfort of their school hall, the different stars and planets.
On the 28th of November, Mr Kelly and 1 Red went on a trip to the Portlaoise Library. One of the librarians gave us a short tour of the library. She showed us which books are where and how they are organised. She told us that library also has computers and internet access. There is also a photocopier there. She told us that the library is free to join for people under 18 and she gave some people application forms. After we had a look around, we played a little game. The librarian gave us books to find, like “A book that will help you study for a French exam” or “A book by Steig Larsson”. The winners won lollipops. After about 2 hours we went back to school
