IMG_6923Transition Year Students visited Irish owned manufacturing company “Newbridge Silverware” and learned how the business has survived European Competition and it’s successful Brand reinvention in the 1990’s. Listening to a presentation they learned how the company came about in 1934 and how it quickly became renowned for its quality craftsmanship and design ethos.
Transition Year students were met at the front doors of the Criminal Courts by a Barrister who invited them to take partake in a Mock Trial in Court 30. The students acted out the roles of Defense, Prosecutor, Jury, Judge, Accused, Witness and Court Registrar. After a very exciting trial, the students were then given a tour of the Courts and proceeded to sit in on some cases that were before the courts that day. A very informative and enjoyable day was had by all.
